Hi there! I am Dre, the founder of this book blog. You may have noticed (or maybe not) that I have been out of the loop for a long time. It has been a tough year for me, but I am not going into details about that.
It’s been a while since I actually talked to my blog’s audience. But…do I still have one? I don’t even know. To be honest, I loved the book blog community, but I felt like there’s only a handful of people who are genuine, and to this day, are still my friends.
There was a time that I was really hurt, and I chose to just keep quiet and move forward. I concentrated on my travel blog, Wander Junkies, and my blog with Ella and Amir, Sporadicade. I really enjoy sharing my traveling experience with other people, as well as collaborating with Ella and Amir. I am really happy about how well we work together as co-bloggers, and if you’re interested, please do drop us a visit.
So what are my plans for this book blog? I still plan to keep this blog for another year. I did renew the domain, so… I will still review books every now and then, but I would not be that same book blogger who feels like I have to read the latest release and compete for hits for my review. I want to enjoy book blogging again and meet wonderful people that I can genuinely be close with.
This coming 2017, I look forward to reading more books that would impact my life in some way. Books that I can keep inside my heart; books that I can get excited about and want to share with people. With that said, I am still thankful for all the blessings that I received through this blog. I am thankful that I met genuine friends through the book blogging community. I am just really thankful that I am in happy state right now.
Happy New Year!
